It's raining sand
But I'm in a new band
And I'm watching the world on my phone

It's hard to speak
But I'm losing no sleep
On a train heading nowhere alone
Fully aware
That I'm losing my hair
But the smile on my face says it all
The sand it pours through the cracks in my paws
But I'm standing up tall with my back to wall

I'm sitting on the fence
But in my defence
I'm not doing you harm
I have opinions
But so do millions
Of others twisting your arm
Not gonna let myself get wrapped in their lies
I've got a bulletproof water-tight alibi

Wolf's at the door
But he's just trying to score
From a man in a suit on the floor
The money spins on a knife-edge so thin
That there's blood on the hands of the poor
I won't get caught up in all that goes on
But there's plenty of others who will
I guess we're all only two steps away
From a headline that says he was dying to kill
